Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
Supercollide ("we", "us", "our") is an independent game studio. This policy explains
what information we collect, why, who we share it with and what you can ask us to do
with it. It covers:
Couplescade has its own privacy policy at
couplescade.com/privacy, which covers the
Couplescade website, the Couplescade app and the Couplescade blog.
Resonance is still in development and collects nothing; we will update this
policy before it is released.
1. Our website and blog
- No accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. We don't set cookies on either site.
- Theme preference: if you use the light/dark switch on this website, your choice ("light" or "dark") is saved in your browser's local storage so it is remembered next time. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it by clearing your browser's site data.
- Fonts: this website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address and browser details to Google when a page loads. The blog uses fonts we host ourselves.
- Hosting: both sites are hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect the sites from abuse.
- Game stats: the numbers on our homepage (games played, countries and so on) are totals from our games, fetched when the site is built. Nothing about you as a visitor is involved.
- Email: if you write to hello@supercollidegames.com, we receive your email address and whatever you send, and use it only to reply.
2. Stack Surge
Stack Surge has no sign-up. When you first open it, the game creates an anonymous player account for you with Unity Gaming Services. We never ask for your email, real name, contacts or location.
What the game stores
- Player ID: a random ID that identifies your anonymous account.
- Display name: the name you choose (up to 20 characters). It is shown publicly on the leaderboards, so please don't use your real name or anything personal.
- Scores: your best scores on the daily, weekly and all-time leaderboards, shown publicly with your display name and rank.
- Progress: your daily challenge progress and rewards, saved to your account so they carry over.
- Friends: if you use friends, we store your friends list, friend requests and anyone you block. Friends can see whether you are online. Your choices about friend requests and friend activity notifications can be seen by other players.
- Usage data: Unity Analytics automatically records basic information such as when you play, how long sessions last, your device model, operating system, language and approximate country (worked out from your IP address). We use it to understand how the game is played and to fix problems.
- Notifications: if you allow notifications, OneSignal links a push token for your device to your player ID and your notification settings. Some notifications mention a friend's display name or a score (for example, when a friend beats your score). Reminders about streaks and daily challenges are scheduled on your device.
- On your device: your high scores, streak, settings and display name are also saved locally on your phone, and may be included in your Android device backup.
Stack Surge has no ads and no in-app purchases, and doesn't access your location, contacts, camera, microphone or files.
Your choices
- Turn notifications off in the game's settings, or for the whole app in your phone's settings.
- Turn off friend requests in the game.
- Change your display name at any time.
- Ask us to delete your Stack Surge data (see section 6).
3. How we use information
- To run our games and websites: leaderboards, friends, saved progress and notifications.
- To understand how our games are played, fix bugs and improve them.
- To keep our services secure and prevent abuse.
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To meet legal obligations.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
We use these providers to run our services. They process information on our behalf under their own privacy terms:
- Unity Technologies (Unity Gaming Services): player accounts, leaderboards, friends, cloud saves, game configuration and analytics for Stack Surge. Unity's privacy policy.
- OneSignal: push notifications for Stack Surge. OneSignal's privacy policy.
- Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Fonts, Google Play): delivering push notifications, serving fonts on this website and distributing our Android games. Google's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare: hosting this website and our blog. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Other Stack Surge players can see your display name, scores and rank on the leaderboards, and your friends can see whether you are online. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
These providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States.
5. How long we keep it
- Stack Surge: daily and weekly leaderboards reset on a schedule, and past boards may be archived. Your account, all-time scores, progress and friends are kept while the game is running, or until you ask us to delete them. Analytics and notification data are kept according to Unity's and OneSignal's retention settings.
- Email: kept as long as needed to deal with your message.
- Website: we keep nothing about visitors ourselves. Your theme choice stays in your browser until you clear it.
6. Your rights and deleting your data
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
To delete your Stack Surge data, email hello@supercollidegames.com with your player ID. You can copy it in the game's Friends screen using "Copy My ID". We'll delete your account, scores, progress and friends data and confirm when it's done. Uninstalling the game removes the data stored on your phone, but not your account.
For anything else, contact us at the same address.
7. Children
Our games are made for general audiences, and Stack Surge can be played by people of all ages, including children. It never asks for anyone's age, real name, email address or contact details. The one thing players share publicly is the display name they choose, so we ask everyone, and especially younger players, not to use their real name.
Parents and guardians can ask us to delete a child's Stack Surge data by emailing hello@supercollidegames.com (see section 6). If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, for example in a display name, let us know and we'll remove it.
If we release a game made for children, we'll explain here how it handles children's information before it launches.
8. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when our games or websites change how they handle information, and change the "Last updated" date above. If a change is significant, we'll point it out on this website.
